A Night In “Marrakesh”
12/5 brings a cocktail debut, special lamb tagine, and belly dancing celebration
Baida Moroccan Restaurant is closing out the year with a truly special event for our customers old and new – join us!
As St. Louis’ only Moroccan restaurant, we take such joy in sharing the unique flavors of our home with our guests. On December, 5th, we’re offering our first ever cocktail, dinner and a show trio!
We’ve collaborated with the uber-talented Kevin Arndt, head bartender at Juniper Restaurant, for a sublimely delicious cocktail recipe that captures the rich flavors of Morocco in a glass. “The Marrakesh” features Rittenhouse Rye and local Big O Ginger Liqueur. Cynar (artichoke liqueur), lemon, cinnamon, absinth and mint round out the drink for a perfectly balanced, exquisite taste of the region.
As head bartender and bar manager of Juniper Restaurant, Kevin Arndt brings five years of learning, mixing and tasting to the world of craft cocktails. With a diverse resume of St. Louis institutions including The Royale, Blood and Sand, Element and The Fortune Teller Bar, Kevin has acquired a vast knowledge of classic cocktails as well as the relationships between sweet, sour, bitter and booze.
Chef Assia has paired a Moroccan favorite dish with this cocktail as our off the menu special for the night – lamb tagine with prunes and cinnamon, a richly sweet and intricately flavored stew.
To top off the event, belly dancing by Sumaiya begins at !
